About IMMERSE

IMMERSE, an initiative funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), offers unique opportunities for underrepresented minorities in biotechnology to gain experience in computational molecular modeling. Our programs are designed to enhance student participation at multiple levels on the pathway from community college to a 4-year institution to the workforce.

What is Computational
Molecular Modeling?

Computational molecular modeling is an important tool for detailing the mechanisms of molecular recognition between proteins and inhibitors, which can be key to the understanding and development of new pharmaceuticals for the treatment of a number of diseases.

Understand

Modeling can help to build a deep structural and energetic understanding of your complex. Then it's possible to design and assess new ideas and rationalize relationships.

Discover

Modeling can help you to systematically explore and leverage the massive druglike molecule design space.

Predict

Modeling can help you to predict properties and trends. Therapeutics can then be pursued based on multiple design parameters with confidence before moving to experimentation.
